Photoshop Question!

Q) Billy wants to color-grade this photo using a gradient map. He already has two gradients, one for the highlights and one for shadows. How would he use the layers panel and layers styles to achieve a color grade that works?

Photoshop color grading

A) He would first change both layer blend modes to Soft Light. Then in Layer Styles, with the “Highlights” layer selected, he will break apart the black slider under “Underlying Layer”.  Next, he will drag the slider that he just broke to the opposite side. Then repeat for the “Shadows” layer. This time he will break the white slider. Now he can independently choose the colors of the highlights and shadows.
